Grab a pen and paper and watch the interview. Mark shares some great advice for increasing sales via email.

Mark. When I first started on marketing I hated the whole idea of list building email marketing because all I ever saw was people spamming and I thought I'm not doing that. 

I didn't and then six years later I sort of realized that you know what hang on a minute I'm losing out a lot here! 

I also realized that I don't have to become an email marketer like them  so I started to build a list and test  different techniques. I realized back in 2012 that with only 500 people on the list I can make a decent income.

So that's pretty much a lot of since then I've kept my list down from around about 1500 

Craig: How often would you email these people and how long's that take you to get a list of that size?

Mark: I mean you can build a list pretty quickly if you go about it in the right way.  Technically speaking  I've built up a list of over a hundred in the last few days but none of these people fit into the big income small lists genre or we don't know yet and that's what I love about it.

Until you start to build your list you don't know and I think a lot of people go wrong where they think I've got to get an avatar together before I start building my list.  The way I look at it is I'll drive people to a an opt-in page and on that page I will segment them so they'll either be ideal market, ideal target market,  possibly ideal target market or not chance in hell of a target market.

 First contact you find out what their interested in see you're not wasting time on a hundred people where only ten are interested which means you are burning your list

 I'll email once a week or three times a week depending on what I'm doing but the plan is to email every day something valuable and engaging every day.
